Embodiment Daylong – SF Dharma Collective
June 22 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Zen Master Dogen said, “To expound the Dharma with this body and mind is foremost”. How do we move what we learn on the cushion into our complex lives? What does it mean to embody our practice inside of liberation and healing? What is the relationship of embodiment to undoing patriarchy, white supremacy, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and other forms of oppression? How can embodiment help us meet our traumas both past and present? Are we using our energies or are they using us?
Using small group discussions, guided meditations, zazen, and open dialogue we will explore our practice in the context of our lived experience. There will be a midday break for lunch and/or rest.
