I haven’t posted here in awhile. Partly because I have been occupied doing, and partly because I wasn’t clear about how to use this space effectively. I am continuing to think about that and consider how this website can and should continue to evolve and change.
So what’s been happening? The podcast I was doing shut down, and I have been experimenting in various ways how to go about creating it in a new way. I loved so much about it, and really miss it, so part of what’s been happening is grieving it’s loss. Exploring various mediums and their pros and cons has been on ongoing thing, and I haven’t quite landed on anything. Twitch looked like a great place, but in order to maintain what I loved about the podcast (the conversations) I have to figure out a way to do that realistically on that platform. I also have experimented with TikTok, and even considered YouTube. Who knows what and where it will end up, but I am committed to the idea and so will keep working on a way to bring it to fruition.
I have been teaching a lot. The pandemic has made Zoom a much bigger thing, and teaching online is definitely a new and exciting opportunity. I am seeing how communities have grown and expanded because of the accessibility of online teaching, and this is exciting to consider the possibilities going forward. SFLGBT Sangha, and the Alphabet Sangha at East Bay Meditation Center is really bringing me great joy right now. I also will be leading Undoing Patriarchy for male and masc identified folks online again this year in December. I have been feeling particularly connected to Hartford St Zen Center as well and teaching there roughly once a quarter.
I will work at keeping my Events page here more up to date. I know I dropped the ball on that, and will do better.
I also will be working to be more public here. I have added a few more ways to let folks support me which also will be trying to figure out other ways to engage with folks, teaching, and the dharma.
Thanks again for hanging in with me, and I really appreciate your support and encouragement.
