Looking For Work

For those of you who don’t know, I have been trying to support myself as a Dharma Teacher for a few years now.  This is likely not going to grow into something that will support me fully.  So with that in mind I am trying to find work that will be in accord with my skills and ethics, support my current life, while also allowing me to continue my teaching.

It has been over 25 years since I had a “real” job.  I don’t feel like my disability is better, but also know with accommodations I could probably handle going back to work.  I have no idea how to even go about getting a job now or how to get my CV to the right folks.  Which is why I am writing this.  I figure I have a wide circle of friends with a wide circle of experience, who can point me in the proper directions.

I would love to be a teacher/trainer.  I consider myself pretty well versed in and capable of training in multiculturalism, ethics, executive excellence, life coaching and/or religion/mindfulness.  I can do research and prepare to be a trainer in whatever topics might be helpful.  I am a great manager, team lead, organizer, admin, project manager, etc.  I think my experiences as a volunteer, teacher, sister, and priest have developed some great skills.  I also am pretty well educated, and developed research skills, writing skills, and communication skills that makes me a good employee.  I learn quickly and feel like I would have little difficulty bringing my skills up to the proper level if needed.

I need to make at least 75K a year.  I also need benefits.  Which means I can not be a contractor.  I prefer to stay in San Francisco, in my apartment, and don’t have a car (although I could consider buying one if needed).  I am great on public transit though, so can commute pretty much anywhere in the bay area.

So what do you think? Know anyone I should talk to? Want a copy of my CV? Contact me.

I also welcome financial support for my livelihood either ongoing through Patreon or via Paypal and/or Venmo.  Find out more on my donation page.
